Wedding Cards
A collegue at work is getting married and my work collegues asked me if I would make a card to give to him on behalf of the team. I was so thrilled that I agreed immediately. It was rather challenging as normally make a card and I use it, but this time I wanted to make sure that the team were happy with the choise too, so I made 3 instead. The 2nd card is the one that we finally gave him. As always I enjoyed making them, but the biggest reward was not only the fact that my collegues liked the one we decided to give on behave of the team, but that the groome to be was very touched that I made it for him.

Baby Shower

I made this card for my girlfriend for her baby shower over 9 months ago. This is one of these cards that I made with some papers and cardstock that I bought before I became a Stampin Up demostrator. However I did use my Stampin Up Scallop punch, which is one of my favorites.
I was at my girlfriend's house a few months ago and managed to get a photo of it.

For my sis

For sister's birthday, I wanted to make a card for her with a handbag theme, however what I ended up making is better that I had dreamt. I made a bag in the shape of a hand bag and a mini card to go with with the left over papers I had from the bag. I had seen the bag in a number of places but I ended up making it with the assistance of Leanne Dixon (my SU up line and friend) and a number of blogs where I found photos of it including Makeesha Byl (need to scroll a bit to get to the handbag photo) . With their assistance I managed to get it done. So here is the end result .......
What I did:
For the Handbag:
What I did:
For the Handbag:
- I got the instructions on how to construct the bag from Leanne.
- I used SU Pink Pirouette card stock for the bag. I cut a piece of pink card stock for the handle from the SU Simple Scrappin' Petal Party Exclusive Scrapbooking Kit.
- Once done I decided to use similar dimensions of the bag and cut 2 pieces to cover the front and bag of the bag from the SU Raspberry Tart Design Paper (DP) pack.
- For the buckles I used a 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch and the Scallop circle punch of various card stocks and DPs from the packs above.
- Once assembled, I punched a small hole through all of them and used a Clear Crystal Studs (from mixit) to hold it together.
- I used the same studs for the handles.
For the Card:
- The card is small because I didn't want it to overshadow the bag, so I used some left over SU Pink Pirouette card stock.
- The card dimensions are 2" by 6 1/4" (fold in half). I used the the left over Raspberry Tart DP that I cut from the front panels for the card embellishment.
- I stamped the Happy Birthday message at the front.
- Use a left over pink ribbon and tied it up to finish it off.
And voila!
